ZigBee at Computer Glossary
What is it? A cable replacement radio technology. It is a competitor to Bluetooth that is claimed to be cheaper and use less power. It uses unlicensed bands at 2.4 GHz, 915 MHz (US) or 868 MHz (Europe). Data speeds are 20 kbps to 250 kbps depending on the frequency band used.
