HTTP1.1 at Computer Glossary

What is it? HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol), the World Wide Web application protocol that runs on top of the Internets TCP/IP suite of protocols, now exists in a newer version, HTTP 1.1, that promises to bring Web pages a little faster to your browser and reduce some of the Webs enormous traffic.
